The Itinerary:

DAY 1 Welcomes you to the craziness of Manila. It is the capital of the Philippines and the nation’s center of education, business, and transportation. A highly urbanized city named as one of the most densely populated cities in the world as of 2019. From the airport, our tour rock stars will meet you and bring you to the country’s financial hub, Makati City where you will be staying for 2 days and 1 night. After you're all checked-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax by the hotel's pool or go out and explore the city.

DAY 2 will wake you up early in the morning for a bamboo bike tour of Manila. After breakfast, we will go straight for sunrise at Manila Bay followed by a city tour of Manila’s Spanish architecture. You’ve met some amazing people already and know where they come from. Time to explore the city of Manila. Brace yourself as we will go 100% local style in a jeepney ride and bambike around the famous, Intramuros. After the city tour, we will go on a food crawl and discover what the Philippines has to offer! Delicious food for sure awaits your hungry stomachs! Eat the Filipino way and suffice your hunger with mouthwatering Filipino meals. After lunch, we will have you recover from the tiring day before we go on a bar crawl. Manila’s nightlife is a must-try! Filipinos love to party and we will let you sing karaoke and party the “Filipino style”. Learn how to “TAGAY!”

DAY 3 is the day that you are all waiting for! We will be volunteering with one of the top Non-Profit Organizations in the Philippines, Feeding Change Philippines. For a day, we will learn more about the culture and the people of the Philippines. Get your hands dirty and prepare for fun-filled activities organized by FCP. You will be working with the kids, conducting learning sessions, playing games, and will be performing. Filipinos love to sing and dance! With that, BE READY! The rest of the afternoon will be a perfect time to chill and explore more of Manila by going around one of the biggest shopping malls in Asia, the Mall of Asia.

DAY 4 will make you bid goodbye to Manila for a while. From the bustling city, we will fly to one of the best islands in the Philippines, Coron in the province of Palawan. Best known for world-class WWII-era wreck diving, though the area also offers limestone karst landscapes, crystal-clear freshwater lakes, and shallow-water coral reefs. In the afternoon, we will go on a half-day tour which will give you an option to explore and learn about Coron town, its major landmarks, people, dialect, and its culture. Trek to Mt. Tapyas view deck and have a bird's eye view of Coron town and bay. Dip and rejuvenate in the most relaxing Maquinit Hotspring.

DAY 5 -9 Working with the locals, we will be doing a variety of tasks that not only focus on marine conservation but also the education of the local community. The beaches of this area are stunning and the rock formations will make you “wow”. Together we'll work to reverse the negative effects that humans have created and ensured that these legendary creatures continue to have a safe place to live in. Whether you're involved with beach clean-ups or educating the local community, every task will play an important part in the overall goal of improving the lives and sustaining the population of Philippine marine life.

DAY 10! Once we reach land, we'll get checked-in to our hotel, and now you'll have some free time to rest up, explore, enjoy some cocktails, run along the beach, dance until your legs stop working, or chill by the pool with cold booze. You are free to do whatever your heart desires whether that's chilling on the beach drinking a cocktail, swimming with the fishes, or simply exploring more of this beautiful island, our guides will be there to help you arrange your last hurrah! In the evening, we'll get our glad rags on and head out for a farewell meal and final big night. Cocktails, beers, and buckets await!

DAY 11 welcomes the gang to Siargao! A tear-drop-shaped island in the Philippine Sea. Being the ‘Surfing Capital’ it would be a crime not to grab a board and give it a go yourself. We’ll set you up with a knowledgeable instructor, to teach you the basics, before getting riding the waves. We’ll spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach and enjoying the resort facilities. The night is then yours to spend it how you like, chilled and relaxed, or out on the town.

DAY 12 - 13 will be days of learning and sharing. With our jeepney version of the mobile library, we will be working alongside the children and the families through teaching and reading books. Education in the Philippines is offered through formal and non-formal systems. Formal education typically spans 16 years and is structured in a 6+6+4 system: 6 years of primary school education, 6 years of secondary school education, and 4 years of higher education, leading to a bachelor's degree. Our national hero, Jose Rizal once said that the “youth is the hope for our future." In that case, our country needs to prepare for a lot of hope, and investments to back this.

DAY 14 - Being the ‘Surfing Capital’ it would be a crime not to grab a board and give it a go yourself. We’ll set you up with a knowledgeable instructor, to teach you the basics, before getting riding some waves. We’ll spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach and enjoying the resort facilities. The night is then yours to spend it how you like, chilled and relaxed, or out on the town. Fancy for more activities? Since it’s your last day on the island, we will go on a private boat tour and visit some of the best spots in Siargao. Get your best shots ready as this will be your last!

DAY 15 It will never be over..instead, do it longer! To those who are doing the additional week, one of our local coordinators will be there to assist you.

DAY 16 – 20 | EXTENSION TOUR
